REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial Review

Friday, 5 February 2016

I mentioned in my Recent Beauty Purchases post that I'd bought the REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial as part of the Pure Glow Trio in the sales over Christmas.  As a long-term REN fan I had heard about the 1 Minute Facial when it first came out and thought it sounded pretty cool, but not something that I really *needed* so I held off trying it.  Luckily the Pure Glow Trio was an absolute bargain, so I finally got the chance to give it a go.

As the name would suggest, it's a speedy facial treatment so perfect if you're wanting to give your skin a bit of a treat but haven't got loads of time.  It has a gritty texture when you first apply it, and a slightly odd smell.....I think it smells like potatoes!  If you've used the Origins Modern Friction scrub it smells really similar to that.  Anyway, you rub it on your face in circular motions and then wet your fingers and rub again (this is sounding really rude but I can't think of a better way to describe it) which will get rid of the grittiness.  Once wet, you leave it on for 1 minute and then wash off.

I use this every 3 days and I genuinely feel like it has an immediate effect on my skin.  I have that post-facial "glow", without looking too red.  If I don't moisturise afterwards it can feel like my skin is a bit tight, but not uncomfortably so.  I'm not sure if I will repurchase (as £32 is a bit more than I'd normally pay for a mask/treatment) but I am definitely enjoying using it, so I'll just need to make the most of the bottle I have!
