It's been a long time since I last used a classic exfoliator. In fact I think I went yeeeeears without exfoliating at all - there's a big gap between the good old days when I used to scratch my poor face with the St Yves apricot scrub that EVERYONE at school had, and my recent discovery of the joy of acid exfoliators.
My first experience of acid based exfoliators was Alpha-H Liquid Gold (which I want to repurchase soon!), but I'd had my eye on the Pixi Glow Tonic for a while as it was one of those products that kept popping up in blogger favourites. As luck would have it, I ended getting a mini bottle of it in December in the M&S Advent Calendar that I was doing with a few of the girls at work. I've been trying to use it every night for the past few months (I can't believe I've not finished the bottle yet) just after cleansing and before moisturiser.
I'm pretty happy with it so far - it leaves my skin feeling baby soft and "glowy". I don't feel like it's made any difference with the condition of my skin though, so it's not one I'd reach for to try clear up spots. That's where I think it falls down against the Alpha-H Liquid Gold as I feel like this was good at curing all - uneven skin tone, scars and blemishes. So I like it, but I'm not sure I'd rush to repurchase.
