I've spoken previously about my never-ending search for the perfect mascara (here, here, and here). It's one of those products where I flit between brands and am always willing to try something new. I did previously claim to have found "the one" (Clinique High Impact), buuuut that love affair is well and truly over and there's someone new on the scene. Step forward, Benefit Roller Lash.
This is a really REALLY good mascara. I'm currently on my second repurchase, which should give you an indication of how much I like it as I do switch mascaras about quite a lot. If you're comparing to the Benefit They're Real then for me Roller Lash is the clear winner. It gives me full, long lashes without being clumpy or giving you that overly spidery look. It's also sooooo much easier to remove than They're Real, which was my main bug bear with that one.
It has a plastic brush which is my preference when it comes to mascaras as I find you get more product on the brush and therefore need to do fewer coats. It's also quite a small brush so is easy to apply without getting messy, and you get a more precise application. I'm not sure how much of a curl it gives though, as I have quite naturally curly lashes anyway.
I'm not going to claim this is a holy grail product, and I'm also not going to say it's "the one" as I've said that before and then something else has come along and replaced it. I will say that it's "a one", for now. In relationship terms, I'm not actively looking for anyone else, but I'm not quite putting a ring on it.
If you want to see the mascara in action then you can see me use it in the following two Get Ready With Me videos: Christmas Party and Everyday Makeup.
