Peanut butter triple chocolate slice recipe

Today at work we taking part in this years Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children, and we're also having a bake sale to raise some extra money too.  As my contribution I've adapted the chocolate pretzel traybake recipe I used earlier this year and substituted in some yummy Reese's peanut butter cups.  I had a little square at home (just to make sure it tasted ok of course...) and I can confirm that it is DELISH - so if you're a fan of peanut butter you definitely need to give it a try (if you don't like peanut butter you could switch for caramel buttons instead).

I didn't bother taking "in progress" shots but if you want to see that then check out my pretzel traybake post as it's basically the exact same process.


400g digestive biscuits
200g butter
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp golden syrup
300g plain chocolate
150g milk chocolate
1 bag Reese's mini peanut butter cups
75-100g white chocolate (to decorate)


1. Melt the butter and golden syrup in a pan over a low heat
2. Break up the the plain and milk chocolate and add to the pan
3. Whilst this is melting (make sure it doesn't start bubbling!) finely crush the digestive biscuits
4. Stir the cocoa powder in with the crushed biscuits
5. Once it's all melted pour the butter/syrup/chocolate mixture into the bowl and stir together
6. Line a baking tray, pour half of the mixture in and spread to the edges
7. Spread the peanut butter cups over the tray and then top with the remaining mixture
8. Leave to set in the fridge for about 15 minutes
9. Melt the white chocolate and then drizzle over the top
10.  Use a knife to mark squares / slices (this recipe makes around 24 squares) then put back in the fridge for around an hour
11. Once set remove from the fridge and you should be able to easily snap into the squares you outlined with the knife
