Edinburgh Zoo Members & Adopters Night

group pose!

For Christmas last year my sister and I adopted my dad an owl at the Highland Wildlife Park.  I actually thought the adoption was for Edinburgh Zoo but stupidly didn't read the small print so hadn't realised that the two are related so when you adopt your animal could come from either.  After the initial confusion it all worked out ok in the end and he even made it up to the Highlands this summer to see his snowy owl in the flesh!

Anyway, the zoo holds special events through the year for its adopters and members and my parents invited me and B along to the latest one on Friday night.  This is basically an evening where you get to visit the zoo after hours and there are keeper talks and things so you can find out a bit more about the animals.  I absolutely love the zoo so we had a great night, and I even filmed some bits so I could put together a vlog which you can watch below!

  1. This is so cool! It's been too long since I went to the zoo.

  3. This looks like so much fun! I went to Edinburgh zoo a couple of months ago but my visit was cut short after a disaster involving my car rolling halfway down the car park (!) so I need to go back soon! xx

    1. Omg sounds eventful, hope you were ok! You definitely need a less stressful visit soon in that case, haha.
