July Daily Snap Day 5: Meal Planning

Friday, 5 July 2013

Happy Friday!

Bit of home admin for me this evening.  I've been putting off doing a big food shop for about a week as I really cannot be bothered, but after a week of having to go to the supermarket every evening to pick up dinner (or eating cheese on toast for tea) I've finally given in and tonight is the night I sit down to plan it all.

I'm about to start going through my various recipe books and noting down a list of meals for the next few weeks (using these cute meal plan printables that I got from A Thrifty Mrs) and then sourcing the ingredients on Tesco.  I'm going to try and be quite budget conscious this month as we are trying to save for our holiday (which has just got slightly more expensive due to us having to change our plans for flying home due to the airport now being closed for maintenance!), so I'll probably be keeping to quite easy meals with cheap ingredients (Tesco value all the way baby).

If meal planning on a budget sounds like something you'd like to read about then let me know in the comments and I can do a post on the meals I've planned out.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend folks.  I don't have many plans so will probably get a lot of bloggy stuff done as well as boring stuff like washing my makeup brushes and tidying my wardrobe!

  1. This sounds like such a good idea. I'd be really intrigued to see the meal planning- plus I know I need to get on it too! I want to meal plan to budget AND try to eat healthily. One day I'll be organised! One day...
