Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution

Up until recently in my evening skincare routine I used to take off my eye makeup, then use a cleanser (like the REN Clarifying Clay Cleanser or the Origins Zero Oil Cleanser) to wash the rest of my face.  After reading a lot of "my skincare routine" type posts though I discovered that I might have been doing it wrong and that in fact I should be taking off ALL my makeup and THEN use cleanser.

That does perhaps help explain why my skin is misbehaving despite me now actually using decent products (rather than just Simple wipes) - as it meant I was essentially using cleanser to clean off my makeup, rather than to properly clean my face.  So I decided to buy a proper makeup remover so I could add a new step into my routine and after seeing the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution being raved about my other bloggers I went in search of a bottle on ebay.

I found this ebay seller who had them for £8.75 (plus £2.80 P&P) which seemed pretty good value so I ordered a bottle and just a few days later it arrived!  I apologise for the photo - it's taken me so long to get round to writing this review that I'm actually almost finished the bottle, also the lighting is shit because it's ALWAYS dark these days.

In short, I love this.  As it's basically like water I only ever need to put a little bit on a cotton pad to soak it.  I tend to use two cottons pads each night, one to take off my eye makeup and then one for the rest of my face (I use both sides of the cotton pads).  It's really effective at taking off my makeup with minimum effort - even with tough mascaras I just hold the pad on my eye for about 10 seconds and then it rubs off easy enough.

I can't believe I hadn't been using something like this before - now when I use my cleanser in the evening I feel like it's actually properly working and getting down into my pores - my skin feels so much more refreshed and clean.

At just over £11 for 250ml which has lasted me about 6 weeks so far (still got about 2 weeks worth left I reckon) I think it's a pretty good bargain and will definitely be repurchasing!
