Festive Knits

Friday, 9 November 2012
Following on from yesterdays Boots Christmas Gift Guide post I thought I'd continue the festive theme and do a post on Christmas jumpers.

I've never really had that tradition of being given a tacky festive jumper and forced to wear it all Christmas Day which I guess makes me quite lucky!  I've also never really noticed shops selling lots of jumpers around winter/Christmas time either but this year they seem to be everywhere!

I'm getting into the spirit of things and have actually become a bit jumper obsessive which totally isn't me (asides from the fact that jumpers are completely unflattering on me and make my boobs look even more massive....I've just never been a fan of wooly/knitted jumpers in general).  I've already bought myself 4 jumpers in the last month or so, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up buying more next time I go out shopping.  There are sooo many cute ones out there at the moment though it's hard to resist!

Take a look at some of my favourites in shops now:

 L-R
red christmas fairisle jumper - river island - £35
 farmer reindeer cardigan - matalan - £30
blue christmas fairisle jumper - river island - £35
fairisle pattern sweater - next - £20

 L-R
snowflake jacquard crop sweater - very - £27
woodland fairisle jumper - asos - £35
reindeer fairisle jumper - asos - £35
christmas pattern jumper - asos - £32

 L-R
knitted polar bear jumper - topshop - £50
knitted fairisle yoke jumper - topshop - £48
navy yoke detail fairisle jumper - new look - £24.99
fairisle pattern lambswool rich sweater - next - £38

So what about you, are you into the festive jumper trend or is it all a touch too tacky?  I have to admit if you'd shown me the selection above a few years ago I would have turned my nose up and most of them and been like "urghhhh there's no way I'm wearing that!", but now I love it - the cheesier the better!
