MoneySupermarket Style Challenge #5 | Office

Saturday, 8 September 2012

All week I've been posting my entries for the MoneySupermarket Passion for Fashion Style Challenge.  So far I've posted outfits on the themes Party, Casual, Outdoor and First Date.  The final category for the challenge is "Office Wear".  My office has a pretty relaxed dress code (we're a marketing agency), so there isn't much differentiation between my work and out of work outfits - but it was quite fun pulling together a more traditional/formal office outfit for the challenge.

As with the other entries, I've chosen all of the items for this outfit from the same retailer - in this case it's Dorothy Perkins.  I buy quite a lot of my clothes from here, and I've actually already bought the boucle jacket pictured below and am quite tempted to buy the dress once I'm back from my holiday!

For this outfit I've chosen a smart cream dress (love the neck detailing) and accessorised with a gorgeous black sparkly boucle jacket and classic black shoes and handbag.  I've also added a black and gold waist belt as it's rare that you see me in a dress without a belt (I'm a big believer in waist cinching!).  I think the outfit has a good balance, in that it looks formal enough for meetings yet you still wouldn't look too "office" at the pub after work on a Friday.
