Empties #1

Wednesday, 5 September 2012
Again this is another beauty blogging staple that I've seen on lots of other blogs and thought it was a cool idea so I'm going to start doing it (I really need to start thinking of some original ideas...).

I've been collecting these up over the last month or so until I had a reasonable number of things to write about.  I seem to blab on quite a lot in collective review posts - like in my summer 2012 series - so I'll try keep this fairly brief!

Tresemme Split Remedy Samples

Got these shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment sachets free in my latest Dorothy Perkins parcel.  I've written a full review here - spoiler alert, it's not positive!

Nivea Harmony Time Shower Cream

I really liked this - it smelt lovely and always left my skin feeling silky smooth.  I'm a big fan of Nivea shower gels in general so will probably repurchase this.

Osmo Berber Oil
Osmo Berbel Oil Hair Treatment with Argan Oil

I talked about this in my summer hair favourites post - it came in a Glossybox a few months ago.  I loved it - it's been the only thing I've found so far that has made my dry strawlike ends look and feel silky smooth.

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy

I'm a fan of the Britney Spears fragrances - sure, they are REALLY sickly sweet, so if you're not into smelling like a teenage girl then they probably aren't for you - but I like them!  Midnight Fantasy is, as you can probably imagine, basically a night time version of the original Fantasy (which is more of a day to day perfume).  I also love the cute little bottle.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

One of the first things I wrote for this blog was a review of this mascara - at the time I thought I'd found the holy grail of mascaras, but I've since fallen in love with a few other mascaras (will write about them soon!) so I'm not sure if I'll actually repurchase this one again as it's quite expensive and I've found some cheaper alternatives.

REN Clay Cleanser

I've talked about this quite a lot on the blog, as I'm a big fan of REN as a skincare brand.  Now that this has run out I'm torn as to whether I should repurchase this one or go for one of the other REN cleansers instead - decisions, decisions!  In the meantime I'm using a Yves Rocher cleanser sample that I got for free when I bought a mascara from them recently.

Bumble & Bumble Color Minded Shampoo
Bumble & Bumble Color Minded Sulfate Free Shampoo

I reviewed this in my summer 2012 hair favourites post recently.  I really liked it (despite not being that impressed at first), but it's really expensive for a shampoo so I'm not sure if I'll repurchase or not - maybe if it goes on offer!

No7 Melting Gel Cleanser

This is another one that I've reviewed before - I really liked it, although I'm unlikely to repurchase now that I've become obsessed with REN cleansers instead.

Umberto Giannini Indulgent Beauty Moisture Mask

This was alright, although I feel like I needed to properly cover my hair in loads of it to actually feel like it made any difference to the condition of my hair.
